My contacts are set for a display name of "Last Name, First Name" ... however
the address book for email is not alphabetizing that way. It is
alphabetizing by "Mr. John Smith" instead. How can I change this?

Answer is posted here every single day.
Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there
