Your original data in OE will be fine. You will lose your groups in Outlook.

Russ -
Thanks much for your prompt response! I'm not sure I was clear on my
question so pardon me for clarifying it - and adding another question.
1) I am trying to upgrade and move all my current (vast data) Outlook
Express over to my new Outlook. Both are loaded on my computer at this
time. HOW do I move all my folders, emails (drafts, inbox, sent items,
other folders I've created, CONTACTS, address book with several Groups) over
to Outlook?
I'm hoping it IS possible to move Groups because I have hundreds of names in
about 25 Groups. I don't even know how I'd start over with that project.
2) Do you mind if I also ask a separate question? Is it possible (in OE or
Outlook) to temporarily delete certain contacts from a Group for a one-time
emailing without permanently altering the Group?
Is there any possibility I could call you for a few minutes to be sure I've
got it straight? Sometimes emails are tricky to understand.
Thanks again!
Kris

There is simply no way to transfer groups in OE to Outlook. You can only
transfer Contacts from your main OE Contacts Folder to Outlook.
