Just had to run a disk restore (worm got past all my security!). Before
running the restore, I saved my contact list as a Excel file (I think because
that's what Outlook suggested - I'm certainly no Excel expert). Now, when I
try to import it I get a message to "name the range of data [I] wish to
import." I don't know what this means or how to do this. Please help.
This is virtually a duplicate of another response that I just posted re: a
very similar
issue.

When importing from Excel, you're required to create a "Named Range" within
Excel (see Excel help on named ranges) covering the data that you want to
import
including the header row (which is what the message is telling you to do).
Once
that's done - you should be all set. If you're not comfortable with Excel's
"Named Ranges" - simple solution is to save the worksheet as a CSV file and
import that into Outlook.

Thanks - I like the second choice - will try when I get home.

Yes - it worked! Thanks so much - I've had all the aggravation I could take,
so I really appreciate it.
