Is there a way to make a new message with the entire category in the BCC
field instead of the TO field???   This is a great feature, but I would
rather not send a bulk email unless my contacts are in the BCC field.

Knowing your version would help.

Here's how and it's not perfect!

Drag the category of people to the Outbox and the addresses will all go into
the To field.  Now highlight all names and drag them down to the BCC field.
If BCC is not showing, click the To... field and drop a name into the BCC
spot. BCC will now show up next time as well.

PS - there are easier ways of showing BCC but they are version dependant.
