I've just upgraded to Outlook 2003, (used the upgrade option) and we use
Novell GroupWise Transport Provider as the email account

I used the "Import" "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" option to bring the
Novell Groupwise Address Book into the "contacts" folder. All contacts have
an email address in the email area, (also tried copying to email2 and email3)
and added a fax number.

The Contacts folder is set up as an adress book. I can receive mail and when
in the contacts folder, right click and "new message to contact" works.

Why can't I get Contacts to show up in the "Select Names" box? The contacts
is set  in the "show names from the"

Yes, I found that site per some other thread and followed the steps also per
another thread I also tried unistalling the service and reinstalling it,
shutting down the computer inbetween.

Then the only other thing that would explain it is corrupt email addresses
that are not resolved within the Contact Record--not unusual when Contacts
are imported.
If you open one of these imported Contacts and resolve the email address,
does it then show up in the Outlook Address Book?

Not sure how to "resolve the email address"
but I just tried right click on a message that is in my mailbox, did the
look up contact "could not find a contact with this e-mail address" right
click - "add to contacts" Still not showing up, even tried it twice

ckecked the two contacts (imported and added) only difference is imported is
upper and lower case

Imported =(underlined)MHT.UserMailBoxes.HeadQuarters

and the Added =(underlined) MHT.USERMAILBOXES.HEADQUARTERS

Your import went awry. Neither of those is a valid email address. That's why
they won't show up in the Outlook Address Book.
