I recently got adsl and unplugged (from phoneline) and uninstalled my
modem. When I returned to Outlook after not using it for a while I found I
cannot dial out from contacts. Advice tells me that I need my old modem so
I reconnected it and put it back in Device Manager. I can now dial out
using an application called 'Phonedeck', but Outlook stubbornly refuses to
'see' the modem. I get the message that 'an internal error occurred in the
automatic phone dialler. Close the dial phone box dialog box and then open
it again'. That does not work, nor does an office repair.
Any ideas?

Not an Outlook question.
Outlook uses the Windows dialer. Ask about the Windows dialer in a Windows
group.
