remove a folder from address book

I have 3 "contacts" folders in my address book. How do I remove two of them?

A correct answer would require that we know your Outlook version.
I'll guess.
Remove the invalid entries here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change.
