WinXP, Outlook 2002

How can I set my contacts so they always display with "last name, first
name"...no matter what view I am looking at. For example:

My contacts are sorted by category. Under FULL NAME and FILE AS two contacts
show as "Tousley, Judi" and "Nilsson, Carol" which is great. However, if I
create a new email and click the "TO..." button, the names appear as
"Tousley, Judi" and "Carol Nilsson." When I check the PROPERTIES on each
person, they are identical insofar as DISPLAY AS shows them both as "last
name, first name."

This drives me crazy as I have hundreds of contacts and I don't always
remember the first names. In the box under TYPE NAME OR SELECT FROM LIST it
will not find the last name if the person is listed "first name last name."

I have the same operating system and version of Outlook and am having a
similar problem. I have contacts sorted by last name first, but when I click
on the "To" button, the names are all sorted by first name. I also cannot
figure out how to fix.

As I continued to read the posts in this group, here is a quote from Russ
Valentine...and the fix worked for me!
