My import goes well execpt for the phone and fax numbers. The import is
completed but the phone and fax numbers I get in my Outlook contacts bear no
resemblance to the numbers from my Excel spreadsheet. I have no idea where
they're coming from. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
From your description - the most likely cause of the issue that your
encountering is that your phone numbers are being interpreted as "numeric"
fields and the strange result is actually the "value" of the phone number.
Suggest that you change your Excel columns to text and if that doesn't work
another way to get around it is to simply save your Excel file in CSV format
and import that file.

Thanks Karl. I tried changing the columns to text with no luck. I still
can't figure out where it came up with the numbers it did. But when I saved
my Excel workshheet as a CSV file the import went through with no problem.
Thanks again.
