Win XP HE SP1
OL 2002, SP3

I am trying to copy contacts from one sub-folder to another by dragging
the mouse with the right click button and clicking copy BUT it does NOT copy
over the "Category".
Any tricks to copy over the category?
The contacts already exist in the target folder (along with many more) and I
choose
the option to update contact with new info--however, again, the category
does not get transferred over.
Any suggestion on how to do that would be great. Tx,
S

Hi,
Tx for ur reply.  However, it is not quite to my question.  What I need is a
bit different.
Go over the post again.  This post is about COPYING contacts from one
sub-folder to another WITH the category....
I cannot seem to drag and drop the contacts from one category to another in
a different folder.
Any tricks to it?

My apologies for the misunderstanding.  I am using Outlook 2003 and it works
fine for me, but I realize you are using Outlook 2002 SP3.  I don't have a
copy of that version installed to test with, but I'll see if I can find an
answer for you.
