I have 2 contacts folders or whatever you call the place contacts are held.
If I click "to" in new email I gat a message saying contacts not available
but if I browse I can find two contact folders, one just contacts and one
contacts in personal folders. I want Outlook to use one or the other, they
are the same, just by double clicking on the "to" as usual. One of the
contacts folders appears when I click "contacts" in the menues on the side.
Sorry to be so confusing, but I don't know how else to explain it. Maybe I
could delete one of the folders? which one?
Thanks for any help.

Just delete the invalid reference here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change.

Don't sweat it. If you delete the wrong one, add it back and delete the
other.
