using outlook and outlook express

I want to use outlook for one email and express for another - after I setup
my other email address in outlook it moved all my contacts from express even
tho I said do not import - now I have no contacts in express - I only want
these contacts in express but when I choose import it duplicates them into
outlook and there are none in express

You have provided no information.
State clearly what you did. State versions. State how you configured each
address book.
Using two different email programs will keep you in conflict perpetually.
Not usually a good idea.
