transfer outlook contact data file from one computer to another

How? I found what I thought was the data file and moved it to new computerbut
it is an .nk2 file that nothing recognizes. Import /exports wizards don't
seem to support outlook to outlook.  Why is this so hard?!

It isn't hard at all.
It does help if you transfer the Outlook Data File, however.
The file you need to transfer id your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's
where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.
