Categories in Contact Feature

I am not sure if Outlook can do this or not - I would guess Goldmine, Act!
do, but not interested in purchasing at this time. . . . . . .

Contacts can be put into self made CATEGORIES..... is there a way to send an
email to specific contacts per their CATEGORY?

Sure.
Use the "By Category" view of your Contacts Folder.
Select the Category.
Actions > New Message to Contact
