Hi everyone,
I'm using OL2003 and when clicking "To" to address an email I get a blank
contact list until I select the "Show names from the:" option and then
choose the 2nd contacts option (the full list has three options; Outlook
Address Book, (and then indented) Contacts and then Contacts again.

I've searched this newsgroup and have so far done the following;
1) Searched my OL install for a second contacts folder (using the Folder
view).  There is only one contacts folder listed.
2) Gone to Tools > Options in the Address book and removed the "wrong"
contact list entry.  After removing one from the list I still get two
Contact folders showing up when clicking "To" - the blank on being the
default,.
3) Ok, I just found the solution to my problem by changing the selections
under "show this address list first" and "keep personal addresses in" fields
to the other Contacts folder.

Now that I stumbled on the solution does anyone have any guesses as to where
the 2nd (blank) Contact folder could be located?

TIA,
Harry

It's a ghost.
You can remove it here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change.
