Several questions in one.
1. How do I move contacts from one book to the other?
*move Bob Smith from 'Contacts' to 'Family'*
IF this can be done, can I 'copy' the contact?
*add Bob Smith to 'Family' and keep him in 'Contacts'
2. If an address ONLY exists in a dist. list, can they me moved to a book?
Thanks for your help in advance!
1) Close the address book and copy or move items between your contacts folders in the main Outlook window.
2) Yes, but the details depend on your version of Outlook, which you didn't mention, and whether the DL is a personal DL or one in the Exchange GAL.

What do you mean by contacts folders?
There is a 'contacts' folder, but ONLY such, none of my user created addy
books are listed there, such as 'family,' 'coworkers,' whatever.

I mean the folder that you see in the folder list in Outlook named Contacts and any other folder that you might have created to hold Outlook contacts.
Since the Outlook address book only shows contacts folders, you'll need to explain what you mean by "my user created addy books are listed there, such as 'family,' 'coworkers,' "

Ok, so I can create sub folders under 'contacts,' then check 'use as address
book' in its properties.
From there, I can drag and drop e-mails/copy and paste contacts, etc.
Is there a way to add current address books and their contacts to the
'contact folder?'

Again, I don't know you mean by "current address books." Whatever you see in the Outlook Address Book is simply the contents of a contacts folder. And, as you've already noted, you can drag and drop items between folders.
