Had to reformat my primary hard drive and reinstall Office Suite 2003. Prior
to the reformat, I exported my address book to another drive. The address
book contained several distribution lists. The import went well except now,
the distribution lists are gone. Any suggestions which would result in
getting the distribution lists back (I know the first one, rebuild...).

There is no address book in Outlook.
Exporting your Contacts always loses data, including DL's and is never the
way to transfer Outlook data.
You just copy and resuse your Outlook data file.
