Dialing contacts directly from Outlook

When I try to dial directly from outlook, I get error messages that say "an
internal error occured in the automatic dialer, close the dialog box and try
again".

The phone line is connected and works fine sending faxes from WinFax or
using the dial-up connection, and used to work before with Sidekick or other
dialing programs.

I've spent hours looking for settings, options, & options that might cause
this error, but to no avail.

Any help?

Thanks,

Not an Outlook question. All Outlook does is invoke the operating system's
dialer. You'll need to ask in a group supporting telephony for your OS.
