I have diligently followed instructions available through "Help", having no
problem copying data onto a disc, but when I go to load it onto the other
computer, I get a message saying "source and data file cannot be the same" or
access denied due to parameters.  The desktop the contacts are on is a Dell
Dimension 4600 with Office Basic and I'm trying to move contacts date to an
Inspiron notebook with Office Small Business.
Any suggestions, please?

What instructions did you follow?
Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:

The information I got before was by using the Office Online Help.  I have
nevr seen any of these links, but am sure they will take care of the problem.
Many thanks,
Dan
