Hi all,

I'm using Outlook 2003, SP1,
I need to change the default order for the File As field, to be:
Firstname Lastname (Company)

There is just about every other option, except this order??? Yet this seems
to be the most logical order.... It's how you post a letter, it's how you
recall someones name in your mind, and how you introduce them (ie this is Joe
Smith from XYZ Company)...

So I don't quite understand why contacts does not offer to display them this
way?

I can type it in manually, and it stays in place and works for all the
searches, but I really don't want to manually update all my contacts and have
to manually overide this all the time...

I've looked through the Microsoft site, and this link doesn't give that
choice either?
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;291144&Product=ol2002
!
I would really really appreciate it if someone could help me with this by
either suggesting a way I can do it automatically, or by maybe helping me
understand the logical or technical reason why it shouldn't be done this
way...
Thanks so much in advance!

The link has your answer. You'd just need to modify the code to fit your
needs. If you don't now how, you can ask in one of the programming groups.
