Reconstruct a Distribution List

I recently lost all of my Outlook files. I was able to reload my Contacts for
they were saved on my PDA. However, no Distribution Lists! I sent myself an
e-mail (from an friend's computer) that had all of the names in the original
Distribution  List. Is there a way to reconstruct the former List on my
compter without having to type in each entry. Most of the entries are not
individual Contacts in my Address Book.
Thank you for your kind attention.

Probably not, but it depends on your version, which you did not mention.

Thanks for the advice. Sorry, I use Outlook 2003. I tried the advice in the
tip you sent. I could not get it to work because I had previously changed how
the DL members names were shown. E.g., instead of jsmith@something.net, I
changed it to Joe Smith. When one copies these names, it is as if the "deep"
information is not copied. Thank you again.

The method usually works with Outlook 2003 because it normally includes both
the familiar name and the email address in the Email Display As field. If
you've altered that, then it won't work.
