How do I restore a deleted distribution list

I accidentally deleted an entire D-list from my Contacts in Outlook. How do
I retrieve it? it is not in my outlook deleted items folder.

If you had deleted it, that is where it would be.
If you also emptied the Deleted Items folder, it is gone.
Restore from backup.
