Importing contacts from outlook 2000 to outlook 2003

When I try to import my Outlook 2002 contacts.pst file to outlook 2003 I have
the following error:  contacts.pst is not a personnal data file.  Help
please.

Importing is never the correct way to transfer Outlook data.
Explain how you created and transferred this file.
Open it. Do not import it.
