In attempting to compose an email, clicking on the "To" brings an alert that
my address book cannot be displayed etc.
I have gone into Outlook-Contacts-Tools-etc and prompted the Outlook
contacts etc to no avail. I recently reloaded Outlook 2003, my .pst file has
contacts list, calendar and emails so no problem there.
Can anyone help with this please?

Have you removing & readding the Outlook Address Book in the Tools menu >
Email accounts dialog?

Aahh yes-thank you, that has worked. I unfortunately deleted my .pst back up
file from the recycle bin when I thought it was safe to do so, are you aware
of a way that i can recover this file at all??
It has meant that I have lost up to date emails and contacts etc

You can check for un-erase tools at your favorite shareware site if you
don't have one installed already.

None off the top of my head since I usually have Symantec's un-erase stuff
on my machine from one of their packages.
