If I send a message to a contact from right clicking the contact > new
message to contact and that contact has more than one email address,  the new
message is created with all addresses in the "To:" field.

Is there a way to only send to the primary e-mail address?

Many Thanks

Operating as designed. If you only want one email address, use the Outlook
Address Book instead to select your recipient.
