Handling bounced emails by updating contact info

A few times a year I send out a "update email" to my business associates.  I
also send this to folks who ask to be on my list to my list (people who enjoy
my work, etc).  These folks are in different contact list from my main one in
OL2003.  This list is heading towards a thousand addresses, and is a real
bear to try and manage.

I have been scouring the net trying to find a plug-in that will process any
"bounced" or "undeliverable" by diving into the message to find the email
address, then compare it to my contact list.  Once it finds which contact,
then it would add it to my "bounced email" category.

Right now, I have to open the message, find the address, search my database
and then assign it to this category.  Every once in a while I go to that
category to find all the people I have to call and get a new address from.
This is so time consuming, I wondered if there was a reasonably priced
add-on/plug-in that would automate this process for me.

I've tried to figure out a way to create a "rule" for handling
bounced/undeliverable email addresses in this fashion, but can't figure out
how.  Any info you can offer would really save me a LOT of time.

Thanks!

Every different mail server sends the bound message in a different format. I tried for some time to manage such bounces myself with Outlook VBA code and finally gave up and moved my lists to yahoogroups.com and googlegroups.com and let them manage the bounces for me.
