Hi, my Outlook 2000 SR-1 refuses to autocomplete any names in my address
book. As of a few weeks ago it worked fine, but seems to have forgotten how
to do it! I have been to Tools > Options > Email Options > Advanced Email
Options...
but the only checkbox I can see is one that says "Automatic Name Checking"
which is ticked. I can't find the checkbox for "Suggest Names in the To,CC
field etc" Any ideas?

That feature doesn't exist in Outlook 2000. It was a new feature in Outlook
2002.

there is a auto rcomplete that will fill in the senders address information.
it was working for the past year.
now it is not working.

for all of you that don't understand....
please do not respond unless you have helpfil info...
thanks

Not so. Patricia is correct. There is no such feature in Outlook 2000. The
only feature Outlook 2000 has is autoresolution (Automatic Name checking).
Perhaps if you included some information someone could help you: like what
used to work that is no longer working.

It doesn't do the autocomplete, but if you start typing the recipients name
and hit Ctrl+K it will populate for you....

Gosh,

You need to pay attention to Patricia and Russ.  They KNOW what they are
talking about!!  OL2000 does NOT do autocompletion, however it will do
autoRESOLUTION.

For information on the difference, you  to review the following link:

Good luck,
Randy
