How do you attach a note to a v card?

I made a note but how do I attach this to a v card and keep a running list of
notes for this contact?

Open the item in your Contacts folder. Type in the note. Save it back to Contacts.

Note that Outlook 2003's display of notes in .vcf files is broken.
