If I forward an existing contact as a v-card to someone via e-mail, the
categories do not appear when the v-card is received.

V-cards are not Outlook items. They do not contain categories.

Why do some vCards I receive contain Categories and some do not?  What
determines which Contact information gets added to a vCard?

Thanks,
J
