I'm tring to use my contacts as my address book, but the check bok that
allows me to do that, is , for some reason is graded out. How or what do i do
so that i can un gray the box?

I'm guessing that you're using OL2000 SP3 (your subject has Outlook 200).
What mode of OL2000 are you using? Check the second line here: Help menu >

Tools menu > Services
Add the Outlook Address Book service from there.

Add the Outlook Address Book service to your profile and that option will be
available.
