In Outlook 2003, I have a user-generated field called "Owner" in my contacts
database. What I want to do is make every single field in the "Owner" column
the exact same thing without having to go through the database and manually
type it all in (the db has north of 3000 records). Does anybody know how to
do this?

Thanks

Export the contacts to Excel or Access and make the changes there, then
import them back into Outlook.  Make sure you have a good backup of the
contacts from Outlook before you try this, since the import/export process
can be problematic at times.

View in Phone List view (a Table) group by your new field and drag all the
ones with the filed empty into the group where they will be set to the
correct data.

Eg. if I have grouped By Category, I can drag people from category none into
Category A customer by dragging them into that group.

Hope this helps!!
