Is there a way to transfer my contacts from Outlook 2003 to my Outloo
Express Address Book

Yes, a couple of ways.  One is to create a Personal Address Book in Outlook
and copy your contacts there.  Outlook Express can import a PAB with
File>Import>Other Address Book.  You can also export your Contacts to a CSV
text file and OE can import that, too.

and copy your contacts there"
How can I do this? And where should I put that mailbox.pab (in which folder)?
Thx

I wouldn't use a PAB since they are no longer supported and no longer even
available in the current version of Outlook. Export to a CSV file instead.

Provide some information then. State how you created the CSV file. Examine
its contents. State how you imported it.

file/import and export/export to a file/comma separated values (win)/I choose
folder Contacts/save somewhere as adresar.CSV/
and then map custom fields
I choose: default map
klik ok/finish

then close outlook and open OE6
import/other address book/text file/I browse for the csv file/next/
and then Map the fields you wish to import
and then I have to choose only one filed so I klik on First name

and it's starts importing but in a way I copy before :(

Do you have custom fields? Have you examined the content of the CSV file to
see what it contains? You should be examining the mapping for all fields
when you import.

Open it either in Notepad or in Excel.

I have opened it in Excel and all data (title, first name, middle name...)
are in one column, in column A? Shouldn't it be in each column for every
item/information?

If you exported it as a CSV, then Excel will show the data in multiple
columns.

unfortunately, no.
all data are in column A separated by comma.

select the column then do Data-text To Columns. (Excel 2007 - should be
similar in prior versions). You should be given the option to use comma as
the delimiter. This will translate the single cell data to multi-cell data.

How did you open it in Excel?  If you simply double-click on it from Windows
Explorer, does it look any different when it opens?

Now that I go back and try to walk through this for you, it appears there's
no way to reference the PAB from Outlook 2003.  The ability of OL 2003 to
access a PAB is read-only; i.e., you can use addresses in an existing PAB so
you can send mail, but you can't write to a PAB to add addresses.  The PAB
is viewable only via the Address Book interface and you can't copy items in
that interface.  So, exporting to a CSV is your only choice.  FIle>Import
and Export>Export to a file>Comma Separated Values (WIndows).

> And where should I put that mailbox.pab (in which folder)?

It wouldn't matter, but it's moot, since PABs in OL 2003 are read-only, it
seems.
