This is all.

Templates and MS-Dos Templates

Use these tabs to manage details templates and address templates for 16 and
32-bit Exchange clients. You manage templates for 32-bit clients, such as
Microsoft Outlook 97 clients, on the Templates tab. You manage templates for
16-bit clients, such as Microsoft Exchange version 5.0 clients, on the
MS-DOS Template tab.
Details Templates

You use details templates to customize the appearance of the dialog boxes
that appear when a user requests to see recipient properties in address
lists. For example, Exchange users use these dialog boxes when they view the
properties of a recipient object from Address Book. You can view and modify
existing controls, add new controls, or remove controls for all details
templates. You can also test the appearance of the dialog box before
accepting your changes.

Address Templates

You use templates to view addresses used by Exchange users. Users use
address templates to address messages to mailboxes that are not in the
global address list or personal address book. They are also called one-off
templates because they are often used to send one piece of e-mail off to an
address and are not used again. However, you can use this template to send
e-mail and then add the recipient to your personal address book. The
template appears in Microsoft Outlook any time you are prompted to provide
an e-mail address for a recipient.

Templates

Use this tab to view and modify details template settings for your Exchange
clients using 32-bit operating systems. Users use details templates to view
the details of directory objects from Address Book. When you modify a
details template, you are customizing the appearance of information in
Address Book.

Understanding Details Templates

Details templates control the appearance of the Address Lists views that
appear when a user requests to see recipient properties in Address Lists.
Exchange 2000 provides the following details templates:
User
Group
Public Folder
Search Dialog
Mailbox Agent
Contact
Exchange Send Options

You can modify details templates to customize the way information about
recipients appears. You modify a details template by changing one or more of
the template's controls. You can either modify an existing template control
or add a new template control to change the appearance of an existing
details template. Template controls enable you to add or change template
labels, edits, page breaks, group boxes, check boxes, list boxes,
multi-value list boxes, or multi-value drop-down lists. You can view and
modify details templates from System Manager.
You can view the appearance of details templates to verify that the new
template control affects the appearance of the template as you intended. You
can also change the order of a details template control. This enables you to
move template controls from one tab to another.
If you have changed the appearance of a details template by adding,
removing, or modifying template controls, you can return to the template
settings that were in place when you first installed Exchange 2000.
Reverting to the original template permanently overwrites any changes you or
another administrator made to that template.

Understanding the Foreign Language Options for Details Templates

During setup, Exchange installs details templates for the following foreign
languages:
Arabic
Basque

Chinese Simplified
Chinese Traditional

Finnish
French

Note, however, that this changes the display for an individual GAL entry. It is not possible to change the display in the address book itself.

Sue, perhaps you know the answer to my Question. Outlook 2000 shows a
different display in the address book then Outlook 2003. Is there a reason
for this?

Because they're different versions. Outlook 2003 made some minor changes to allow the address book display to be resized, among other things.

Thanks....

And.. there isn't a way to change the view on OL 2000 or OL 2003 to see
different fields? Can you do it at the Exchange Server?
