send e-mail to selected multiple contacts

This should be simple, but I cannot figure out how to send an e-mail to
multiple contacts by choosing them from my contacts. The need arises when I
sort contacts by category and then want to send a note to a particular
category. I select all the contacts desired, but I can't find a way to send
them all an e-mail like you can when only one is sected (new message to
contact). How do I do this?

Select the members of the Category.
Actions > New Message to Contact
