When I try to create a distribution list, I click on 'add members' and it
brings up my contacts in alphabetical order by FIRST name. How can I bring up
that list by LAST name. (My contacts ARE filed correctly)???

You just need to set the sort order for the Outlook Address Book correctly.
If you don't know how to do that, post your Outlook version.

Hi - I have the same problem. I'm using Outlook 2000. I hav
pre-existing distribution lists listing the contacts by first name
but when I changed the settings of my address book to last name, firs
name it didn't change the order of the pre-existing distribution lists
Please help. Thanks

Right. You can't change it for DL's created in other versions or even other
profiles.
You can try changing the Subject field for those Contacts and see it that
works.
