True I didn't make it explicit. In answer to your question, because that is a
total pain and in Lotus Notes, there is a function allowing you to add in
email addresses into contacts which you already have without
cut/paste/find/open/save. Does this exist in Outlook?

As far as I know, it doesn't. You can open the message, right-click the
address and choose Add to Contacts, but you'll get another contact record.
It won't update the existing one.
