MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / July 2005Full Name in Contacts sometime shows last then first names
I have discovered that some of my contacts in the "Full Name" box appear last name first although they were entered correctrly in the "check full name" subdialog box while most of the others in my contacts list first name first in "Full Name" as entered in the "check full name" subdialog box. In the file as box I've selected show as last name first. What would be causing this to happen? This is Outlook 2003 SP1  Signaturepanntilt What "file box?" Your post is unclear. What would be causing > this to happen? This is Outlook 2003 SP1 Sorry for the late reply and the confusion. I was referring to the "Check Full Name" dialog box. However, I did find something in another post which triggered my memory about "Contact Options." So I went there and found that the "Full Name" option was chosen as, last-first. I changed it to first-last and that was the answer. I guess sometime past I had chosen the other thinking that this was the dislpay as choice. Silly me, because that option is also available in this dialog box. Sorry to take your time but now that I've experienced using this site I will be more prompt in using it when needed.
