I have (unfortunately) three seperate contact lists in Outlook, with some
overlap of names and e-mail addresses.
However all I want to do is to merge them into one big list, and then go
back MANUALLY to remove duplications. I don't want to do this automatically
because each contact has some bit of different information which has to be
filtered by me individuallay and finally updated onto one contact card.
thanks,
steve

Use one of the excellent free duplicate cleanup tools listed at http://www.slipstick.com/addins/contacts.htm

Are these "contact lists" currently in Outlook folders? If so, just open,
one at a time, the ones from which you wish to copy, select one entry by
clicking on it, then select them all with CTRL-A, then click Edit>Copy to
Folder. Specify the desired contact folder as the destination.
