Outlook should do a multiple letter search like Palm Desktop

Palm Desktop has an excellent search function for contacts, where you enter
multiple letters for a person's name and it finds it very quickly and shows
the individual contact on the right side of the screen.  With Outlook, you
have to enter the letters and then press the "find" button and it shows a
small box.  It's not as good as the Palm Desktop in my opinion.

It seems you haven't found the Contact Lookup Window in Outlook.  In it you
can type Gre and it will frind you Greg Jones.  You could type Acorn and it
will find me.

In the toolbar there's a white window that says Type a Contact to find.
Have a go.  It's a nice function.
