Using Outlook 2000 I can import  e-mail messages from Outlook Express using
the import button but it does not import the addresses from the address book
in Outlook Express into Contacts, nor the distribution lists.

Have you tried exporting from OE into Outlook?

Yes, I tried this, and the only option I get when I click the Export option
OE is "text file (comma separated values). I have no idea what this is or
what I would do with it.
