my problem is I cannot open my outlook.pst file which was generated when I
lost all my contacts and calender. I did not create this outlook.pst file.
Now, I can not open this file to retreive my contacts. I've re-installed my
MS outlook program. I get a reply that the outlook.pst file needs to be
redefined. How do I do this to read or retrive the file?
Help, I'm not that computer savvy

A few questions for you:
- what version of Outlook are you using?
- Is the PST file on a CD or marked read-only?

If you're using Windows XP, the default location for a PST is in a hidden
folder.  When you search, enable searching for hidden files and folders.
The default location for PSTs is
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
