I am trying to send an email to several business associates and would like to
send it other than bcc and have the addresses suppressed.  I tested a group
distribution list and the names showed up, suggestions?

Did you put the list in the BCC field? If so, what version of Outlook were
you using? I haven't heard recently of a case where BCC info was disclosed
(unless the mail server is faulty and adds the info to the header when it's
not supposed to)
