When a contact changes their email address and I change it in contacts their
old email address shows up along with the new in a drop down box. Then you
have to pick the one you want.
How do you permantly delete old email addresses?

When it pops up highlight it and delete it

That does not always work.
Is it in a file that I can open and edit.

For Outlook 2002 and 2003 then there is
http://www.ingressor.com/ingressor_products.htm, I have never tried it. If
you wanted to get rid off all the entries you would delete the NK2 file
that's stored in your Outlook profile. Outlook needs to be closed and show
hidden files and folders need to be switched on in Control Panel || Folder
Options || View Menu.
