I need to delete all my contacts in outlook 2003. There are over 2000 so I do
not want to have to do it all invidividually.
Thanks!

See if this works:
- highlight one contact
- Hit Control-A (for select All)
- Hit the Delete key

I tried this and I get a messsage:  The messaging interface has returned an
unknown error.  If  the problem persists, restart outlook.  I cannot even
delete one contact.  I am running vista and office 2007 outlook.  I did
restart outlook and even uninstalled and reinstalled office 2007.  Still I
cannot delete a contact.

None of those actions would work. Try the routine maintenance procedures:
1. Repair your data file
2. Create a new Outlook profile.
