I have been reading many articles posted regarding transferring my Microsoft
Outlook e-mail files from one laptop to another, but have not succeeded.  I
have followed the Export- Import-Instructions.  I am using Outlook 2003, made
sure that I took off "Read Only" but it still says that I am not authorized
to use this file.

State in detail what you are doing so we can tell what you are doing wrong.
No valid instructions will tell you to export and import.
Just copy the PST file that contains the data you want and open it in the
other installation.
