Distribution Lists and Updating

I use a few distributions lists in Outlook 2003 (and 2002, too).  Everybody
on each list is also a Contact.  However, if I update the Contact's e-mail
address in his "card" or record (or whatever it is called) the distribution
list tied to him is not similarly updated.  The old address remains and then
I get sending errors as a result.  Is there a way to assure that any updates
for Contacts will also modify any distribution list which includes them?  Or
am I stuck with the chore of wading through those lists to see if they are
on any and then removing and reinserting each?  Seems a bit tedious.

The latter, I'm afraid.
