Exporting and importing contacts

I am trying to bring the Contacts lists on my home workstation and my PC at
work.  

I have exported the Contacts from my home workstation into an Excel
spreadsheet and then imported this into Outlook on my workstation here.  This
seems to have resulted in all e-mail addresses being deleted.  They can be
viewed in the spreadsheet, but appear blank when you import them.

Can anyone advise please?

Can anyone advise on the best export format for the contacts as well?  I
cant use CSV's because oI have comma's in say the lines of addresses, which
then in turn muddle the records etc etc.

Please please please help!!!!!!!!!

You are transferring data from Outlook to Outlook. You have absolutely no
need to change the file format. Doing so is a good way to lose or corrupt
data, which you obviously managed to do.
Copy your Outlook data file (PST file) from one version. Open it in the
other. Copy what you want from it.
