i use microsoft outlook at some point it duplicated itself. it created a
second a personal folder under my orginial folder. all of my information
started going into the new folders. got that taken care of. new folder had
no contacts listed. my original folder had all my contacts. but now when i
add a new contact to a sub-folder then when i go to select the names from my
list from my email the new contacts are not listed.

You have to enable each contacts folder you create as an address book if you
want to be able to see then addresses when you click To. RIght-click the
subfolder, choose Properties, click the Outlook Address Book tab, and checkl
the box labeled "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book".

I had done the very same thing before to my contacts. All it did that time
was to show my backup contact list along with my regular list of contacts. I
am hoping this works this time. Thank you so much.
