How do I prevent Outlook from adding new contacts to my contacts folder every
time I email someone who is not already in my contacts folder?  In other
words, if I email someone for whom I dont' have a contact entry, their entry
automatically shows up and I want to stop this.  Thanks.

I think that option is in the Tools menu > Options > Email dialog

That reply didn't help so much, but thanks for the attempt.  I'm using
Outlook 2000 and there's no such tab under Options/Tools.

Its the other way around Tools || Options || Email Options (and then it
might be on that page or on the Advanced Email Options page) like Vince its
been a long time since 2000
