How to find and move outlook contacts from desktop to laptop?

I am a novice and need help on moving my outlook conacts/address book from my
desktop to my Laptop's Outlook.

Create a fresh PST file using the File menu > New > Outlook Data File. Right
click drag/drop the Contacts folder into the new set of folders (copy them).
Right click on the root of the new folders, choose Close. Exit Outlook then
copy the PST you just created and copy it to the laptop. Open the PST on the
laptop using the File menu > Open > Outlook Data File. Copy the contacts
into your laptop's Contact folder
